lyrics
Come on get your head right
Somebody’s watching you
Don’t let the modern pulse get the best of you
Better to kill those dreams yourself than let somebody else
Gotta pull yourself up no good sleeping
You’re the closest thing to real will I feel that way years from now
Hardly think I’m ready for a lifetime under your spell
Dressed up for the wedding I’m eight years old and ready
To live through the nineties like I will turn out fine
And all it is is number after number on the number line
All that shows on paper is all that's left that I can define
Hard times though you can’t remind me if you tried
Guess I put it in the back of my mind
I’m just your baby much as you are mine
And the world’s just a hole right between my eyes
Stuck on the road between your world and mine
I’m moving to New York to disorient my mind
It’s the only place that I can feel so far away and so close to home
Hard times though you can’t remind me if you tried
Guess I put it in the back of my mind
I’m just your baby much as you are mine
And the world’s just a hole right between my eyes
I might be nothing but nothing can negate me
I am a nobody but nobody can break me

This album can transport you to a fun place with Leon Bridges singing and Khruangbin supporting him with their fantastic music. I love everything about this vinyl and am so glad I got the lunar press! Thank you all so much! Michelle May

I think it's difficult to write songs about something other than romantic love, and still be able to communicate the intensity with which those feelings can hit a person. Some of the entries on this album are fantastic examples of this niche. dani_bloop

This Nashville trio make ultra-catchy indie rock (in the '90s sense of the term) with taut musicianship and a freewheeling spirit. Bandcamp New & Notable Feb 2, 2021
